Interim Engagement Manager, National Museums Scotland

Since this interview was recorded, Sarah has moved into a new role with the National Trust.

Sarah has worked for National Museums Scotland for the past eight years, both in her previous role as a learning officer and her current position as interim engagement manager. Her work has focused on diverse and exciting audience engagement programming, often working across multiple museums for a whole range of museum visitors. Sarah has also worked with local organisations including East Lothian Council and Glasgow Life, where she has focused on local heritage and museum education programmes. As a passionate museum educator, Sarah is also a trustee for GEM, where she champions digital museum education for all.

Being in two places at once: engaging audiences across multiple sites

Sarah leads a team who engage schools and families with two national museums, and wider audiences across the country through the project Maths Week Scotland. She is also a Trustee for the Group for Education in Museums (GEM).
